70s After School TV Programming

As you know, in the 70s, we usually spent most of our time outside. But there was an hour or so after school that had programming based around kids. I think even PBS had some decent non educational shows. We only received four stations in the country so the selection was limited. How many of these ring a bell? The first one was my favorite of all time. I looked forward for that 3:15 bell to ring so I could get home from school and watch it.

  1. Battle of the Planets (GForce)
  2. Brady Bunch (of course)
  3. Partridge Family
  4. Star Trek
  5. Get Smart
  6. Gilligan’s Island
  7. The Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon serials from the 1930s, 1940s
  8. Happy Days
  9. The 3 Stooges
  10. Batman and Robin
  11. Laverne and Shirley
  12. The Electric Company
  13. Adam 12
  14. Emergency 51

I am sure I am missing a few. The after school lineup is a little more hazy in my mind than Saturday mornings. What were your favorites?
