As you know, in the 70s, we usually spent most of our time outside. But there was an hour or so after school that had programming based around kids. I think even PBS had some decent non educational shows. We only received four stations in the country so the selection was limited. How many of these ring a bell? The first one was my favorite of all time. I looked forward for that 3:15 bell to ring so I could get home from school and watch it.
- Battle of the Planets (GForce)
- Brady Bunch (of course)
- Partridge Family
- Star Trek
- Get Smart
- Gilligan’s Island
- The Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon serials from the 1930s, 1940s
- Happy Days
- The 3 Stooges
- Batman and Robin
- Laverne and Shirley
- The Electric Company
- Adam 12
- Emergency 51
I am sure I am missing a few. The after school lineup is a little more hazy in my mind than Saturday mornings.
