Remembering the 70s

A Simpler Time

About Me

Born in 1966, I grew up in the country outside of a small town in Indiana. (Population 1000!)

I am a computer geek who considers himself a “jack of all trades” in the computer world. I mainly do network engineering but I also do some programming, web page development, SQL, computer repair, and learning more and more everyday.

I currently reside in Tampa, Florida but I desire to move back up north to Indiana where I was raised. I really miss the quiet and laid back country life.

Some of my interest:

  • the 70s (of course)
  • old time radio
  • 3D rendering
  • pipe smoking
  • black and white movies
  • playing guitar
  • Calvin and Hobbes
  • science fiction and fantasy movies
  • Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms books
  • renaissance festivals
  • contact juggling
  • computer gaming

Great web site, I was directed to it by the plowing through life. Today I spent over an hour going back into your blogs until I found the evel Knievel toys I used to play with back in the day. I will be spending more time here going back and jogging my youthful memories….

Hi Scott and thanks for stopping by! I am glad you enjoyed yourself here. I have been trying to get a little bit of everything then work on filling in some gaps. But there always seem so much to talk about and not enough time to post!

Great site. I was born in 1971, but can relate and recall many of the items/categories. While I enjoy the technology of today, there is something to be said of the easier times growing up in the 70′s. Great music, MUSCLE-cars, movies, and toys…

Thank you for the kind comment. I sometimes think if I could of had a computer and internet in the 70s I would of had it made. But then again I probably would not have had so many outdoor adventures. I would be more like kids today.
